About
Our initiative is to keep children safe and free from drugs, violence and alcohol abuse. To instill the knowledge about the dangers of drug use, ways to resist peer pressure, and the skills to make good mature decisions. We hope our efforts will help develop our younger generations into outstanding citizens in our community.
Our Too Good For Drugs program is based off of weekly visits to elementary school classrooms by a uniformed police officer. Each school has a ten week lesson plan taught out of a structured workbook. These lessons are taught to encompass a total of 3 elementary schools in the Hobart School District. Having a Too Good For Drugs officer teaching in the classroom can pay dividends everyday– in healthy kids, healthy communities, and a healthy world.
